Oppo Enco X2’s leaked render reveals design, Dynaudio collaboration

The Oppo Enco X TWS earphones launched back in 2020 should soon get a successor as an image of the Enco X2 has been leaked by reliable leakster Ice universe, revealing the design.

As you can see, Oppo hasn’t gone with a design overhaul for the Enco X2 since they still come in a cobblestone-like charging case, with the buds themselves having an in-ear design, which also have the Dynaudio branding now.

The rear side of Enco X2’s charging case also has the Dynaudio branding like the Enco X, revealing Oppo once again teamed up with the Danish brand for audio-tuning of its earphones.

Oppo Enco X2's leaked render reveals design, Dynaudio collaboration

However, it’s unclear if the Enco X2’s case has a matte finish, or if it is glossy like the charging case of its predecessor. That said, the silver frame we had on the Enco X’s charging case is now done away with, but we still have the Oppo logo on the top side, with the bottom likely housing a USB-C port.

We don’t know anything about the Oppo Enco X2’s specs and features yet, but we were very impressed with the Enco X and have similar expectations from the Enco X2. You can read our Oppo Enco X review here while we await more details about the Enco X2.

Samsung is launching the Galaxy S22 on February 9, new report reveals

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S22 any moment now. Reports from South Korea suggested a February 8 launch date, and now new info surfaced, suggesting a new date – February 9.

The information comes from Ice Universe, a known Samsung leakster, but there’s a possibility the date is different for the Chinese market, and February 8 could still be on the table.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is shown in more leaked renders, here it is in four colors

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series is expected to bring three devices at launch. The mightiest of them all will be the Galaxy S22 Ultra and will be the first S series flagship with a built-in stylus – something that was exclusive to the Galaxy Note series so far.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus leak reveals colors, specs

TL;DR

  • Key specs and colorways — along with leaked renders — of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus have been revealed.
  • The phone will likely be available in four colorways: Black, White, Green, and Pink Gold.
  • Additional rumored specs include a 4,500mAh battery, 1,750-nit peak brightness, and a 6.55-inch display.

The Galaxy S21 FE isn’t the only Samsung phone to be delayed this year. Early rumors suggested the Galaxy S22 series would be announced in January, but because of the ongoing global chip shortage, we’re looking at an early February reveal for the new flagship smartphones.

Samsung is expected to launch three phones in the S22 line: the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. There are rumors aplenty for the entire Galaxy S22 lineup so far, but now we’re getting even more details about the S22 Plus.

Don’t miss: All the Samsung Galaxy S22 series rumors in one place

A report from MySmartPrice outed new renders of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus, showing the device off in four colorways: Black, White, Green, and Pink Gold. We’re unsure if these are the official names of the colors.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus leak all colors black green white pink gold

In addition to the leaked renders, MySmartPrice also detailed a few key specs for the S22 Plus. It will reportedly feature a 6.55-inch Full HD Plus AMOLED display — a bit smaller than the S22 Ultra’s rumored 6.8-inch screen. MSP’s article corroborates earlier rumors, claiming the device will have a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide, a 12MP telephoto lens with 2X optical zoom, and a 32MP front camera.

Rumor has it, the entire Galaxy S22 line will feature Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset in the United States, while select European countries, such as the UK, will see the devices powered by Samsung’s unannounced Exynos 2200 chip.

Additional rumored specs come from a 91Mobiles article from January 15. The publication says the Galaxy S22 Plus will have a peak brightness of 1,750 nits. If true, this would be a nice upgrade from the S21 Plus’ 1,300-nit peak brightness. This report also mentions the S22 Plus could weigh 195g, a slight change from the S21 Plus’ 200g weight.

It’s rumored that Samsung will announce the Galaxy S22 series on February 9, 2022. You’ll reportedly be able to pre-order the device from February 9 – February 25, 2022, when the phones officially go on sale. We’re still waiting for official event invites from Samsung, so be sure to take this information with a grain of salt.

ANDY SNEAP “Disappointed,” Reveals He Didn’t Choose To Leave JUDAS PRIEST

Judas Priest revealed yesterday that they’ll perform their upcoming tour as a four-piece, meaning live guitarist Andy Sneap is out of the picture. Judas Priest said in their statement “Big thanks to Andy for all you’ve done and continuing to be in the production team for our new album,” and left it at that. Now Sneap has made his own personal statement to Blabbermouth, saying that Judas Priest let him go and that he’s pretty disappointed.

Rob called me last Monday and said they wanted to move on as a four-piece, which I find incredibly disappointing after this amount of time but I respect his decision as they obviously have a vision how they want this to play out.

“This always was a temporary situation, and like I’ve said before, I’ll always help the band any way I can, and that applies going forward also,” he continued.

“I’ve been a huge fan of the band since the early ’80s and it was mind-blowing to play onstage with the guys and quite frankly terrifying in the beginning at such short notice.

“We are moving forward with the new album next month and look forward to making a killer follow-up to Firepower.”

Sneap filled in with Judas Priest between 2018 and the present-day as longtime guitarist Glenn Tipton announced he wouldn’t tour anymore due to his worsening Parkinson’s disease. Judas Priest will hit the road with Queensrÿche this March.

Leaked Redmi K50 Pro case reveals camera redesign

Xiaomi is expected to introduce the Redmi K50 series in February and at least four devices are expected in the series. A phone case, developed for the Redmi K50 Pro, appeared online, suggesting an entirely new camera design for the rear camera.

Quickly after the leaked image, renders of the supposed phone popped up as well, courtesy of a website called Xiaomiui. The device looks a lot like Xiaomi Civi, although the triple cameras, lined up in a triangle setup is something vivo implemented first with the X60 series.

This Redmi K50 phone will have a fingerprint scanner on the side. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean the screen will be an LCD. Xiaomi is famous for implementing AMOLED screens and still putting the sensor on the side as was the case with the Redmi K40 series.

According to the sources, the device will have a 6.67” display with Full HD+ resolution, and it should have 120Hz refresh rate.

The images of the case also reveal a cutout on top for the noise-canceling microphone, for a small speaker, and what is likely an IR blaster. On the bottom, there is no 3.5mm audio jack cutout – only for the USB-C, the primary mic and speaker.

Realme reveals GT 2 Pro camera setup details

Realme teased the GT 2 Pro earlier this month and confirmed its arrival date to be January 4. There are still five days until the launch, but the brand has already unveiled the camera setup of its new flagship on Weibo.

The primary camera will have a 50 MP Sony IMX766 sensor – the same seen in the Oppo Find X3 Pro and OnePlus 9 Pro, both phones from sister companies under the BBK Electronics umbrella.

The second shooter will be an ultra-wide-angle camera with a massive 150-degree field of view, and the third will be a microscope camera.

Realme reveals GT 2 Pro camera setup details

The Realme GT 2 Pro is tutted as the brand’s flagship, but it lacks something other phones from the same tier have – a dedicated zoom camera for portrait shots. After all, this shouldn’t be a surprise – after all, the Realme GT 5G also missed this feature, and it was still a lovely phone.

Interestingly enough, Realme puts a “2.0” after “microscope camera”, suggesting it is a second-generation shooter. We believe it will be an evolution of the 3 MP f/3.0 cam on the Find X3 Pro which also came with 60X magnification and a ring light but was only usable in very specific scenarios.

We’ll know for sure once the event on Tuesday takes place. That’s when we’ll also learn whether the rumors for a Snapdragon 888-powered Realme GT 2 are true and if a “camera-focused” version of the Pro is really happening, or is it just a way for the brand to hype the actual GT 2 Pro.
